Largs Bay Pool Painting
This swimming pool is 40 years old and hadn’t been painted for over 20 years. It was in a terrible state of sludge built up over the years by dirt, rain and leaves. It was mouldy and the paint was flaking. Gary swept the pool before attempting to clean it. It took four attempts of cleaning the pool before Gary reached the stage that he was happy with the cleanliness of the pool. Cleaning included acid washing, power cleaning and rubbing down the surfaces. He also cleaned all the tiles. Prior to applying the coats of paint to the pool, Gary filled hair-line cracks at the bottom of the pool and rubbed them down to a smooth finish. Gary also painted the tiles at the top of the interior walls of the pool in a darker blue as requested by the client. On completion, he thoroughly cleaned the work area and disposed of all the rubbish created by the works. Top quality Luxapool products were used for this project.
“We were renovating our backyard to create the entertainment area we desired. The centrepiece was to be the swimming pool. The concrete pool was constructed in the early 1970’s. It had not been used for the last 10 years and was basically a blackened sump pit.
A long search for someone willing to undertake the renovation seemed to be fruitless until I finally sourced Lancaster Painters.
Gary Lancaster turned up, provided a quote which we accepted and the process was finally underway. Gary outlined the procedure in minute detail i.e. cleaning, preparation and the number of coats this pool would require, and the weather conditions required.
The end result was amazing. From a black pit to pristine, sparkling pool.
The pool is now no doubt “the jewel in the crown”, the centrepiece of our backyard renovation.
I have no hesitation in recommending Gary of Lancaster Painters I am totally thrilled with the end result.
Want your pool painted?? Then Gary Lancaster is your man.” Paul Reed.
